Whitby needs more local affordable housing for local people. In the past Harrison has provided new affordable homes at Larpool Lane, at Green Lane and at Drake Close.

At High Stakesby we had hoped to team up with Broadacres Housing Association to build 90 new homes - every one of them affordable and for local people. Broadacres would have offered local families a choice of tenures - to buy via shared ownership or rent - meeting a real local need.  Although our initial plans did not get the go-ahead we are still exploring how we might help meet the need for affordable housing for the people of Whitby.
